I be inflicted with read the tome, but cannot recall any point scenes offhand. Griet was formerly hired as a housekeeper/cook for Vermeer’s family, but as he became infactuated with her, she helped arrange his paints, his work area, and modeled for him. He ultimately seduced her.
Griet loved Pieter the son, who was the butcher’s son. She allowable him to make tenderness to her, all the while, she was infactuated with Vermeer.
Van Ruijven was a patron of Vermeer’s who lusted after Griet with no result.
That’s about all of the tome I can remember.
